How SignalFront labels an outage
A single user report is labeled Reported. Multiple recent reports from the same provider and state become Possible or Elevated. Independent routing anomalies are labeled Network signal. News headlines remain Possibleuntil corroborated. Only a provider can officially confirm an address-level outage. Comment reactions show community agreement, not independent verification. Third-party 24-hour customer-report totals are shown as a separate pulse and never become a confirmed incident by count alone. The home internet map includes only reports where the user selected Home internet; each state is colored by the provider with the highest mapped report count there. State-specific internet incidents can also light up a provider color when no user report is present.
